Corporate Social Responsibility
The mission of ProFound is to "professionally support organisations and programmes dealing with sustainable development and trade promotion". In our belief, a successful approach is based on recognising people and communities as stakeholders rather than targets or beneficiaries. Therefore, we have committed ourselves to a long-term social responsibility strategy in order to contribute to sustainable development.
ProFound's CSR strategy is focused on operating our core business processes in a socially responsible manner. By balancing the management of these processes, we aim to have an overall positive impact on society and the environment. These two aspects, the quality of management (both in terms of people and processes) and the nature of impact on society, are reflected in four fields of our operations. These fields show the different relationships between our company and society, in the office as well as externally.
The office
ProFound aims to provide a pleasant and healthy working environment, following international standards in terms of equal opportunities, health and safety, market level remuneration and working conditions. This working environment facilitates staff members to perform at a high professional level while enabling them to develop their personal and professional skills.
The environment
ProFound takes responsibility for its surrounding by actively minimising the impact of its daily business activities on the environment. Moreover, we aim to promote sustainable consumption patterns among ProFound's staff members.
The community
We aim to improve the quality of life of communities related to our activities. In our international projects we include direct links to business needs and competencies, while also securing relevance to local development needs. In the proximity of our office we link up with organisations operating in the field of sustainable development. In addition, we support initiatives by charitable organisations which are in line with our core values.
The market
ProFound follows the guidelines and principles of ISO 26000 and therefore actively incorporates its chain responsibility in all of its work. In this respect, we aim to be an accountable and transparent organisation, actively promoting the principles of social responsibility to our providers, clients and business partners. In early 2010, we will assure our ability to satisfy our client's quality requirements by gaining ISO 9001 certification.
